If you read my post Monday, you know that I am a new “great Aunt”. It’s exciting to welcome this beautiful little boy into our family.
Let me share my vision of the wardrobe needs of my little grandnephew. I envisioned my niece and her husband both standing in the nursery in front of the dresser deciding which onesies to pack for the day. I thought of how we could streamline their laundry loads by having multiple clean onesies to wear each and every of the week. I got the picture of the top drawer of the dresser in my head. In each pile were 7 individually folded onesies.
7 piles of onesies marked with each day of the week all neatly folded and lined up in a row helped them to grab and go and pack his daily change bag. I thought this would make their lives easier as a quick check in the drawer by either parent to recognize how prepared they were for the week with their new toddler. I understand that the laundry loads with still be never ending but saw the piles as a easy indicator when they were getting low.
New parents are often faced with stress, lack of sleep and time management issues. This doesn’t have to be the case. Easy organization and communication even through a pile of onesies can make welcome their new addition to their family effortless and seamless.
Besides the humorous collection of animals, I also consider onesies from the Zen collection or even the peaceful flowers.
Seeing the baby in his new onesies, keeps you smiling and connected with this joyful time of life.
My grandnephew is already teaching me the value of having a backup shirt, always on hand. Too bad his parents didn’t pack and extra one for me.
